last night was a very thrilling games from the first game to the second…
1st game: Air21 Express (109) vs (107) Alaska Aces
everybody knew it was Willie Miller time when he make the shot at close range. it was 107-106 in favor of the Aces. but it wasnt over when theres still a second to play and the Express called for a time out. Ranidel de Ocampo inbounded the ball at half court and passes it to Gary David, its a catch and shoot anyway for a second left at the clock, and what do you expect, he throw a prayer and it was answered! Yes! all the Air21 Express yelling at the court, and when the referee reviewed the tape it was a clean 3 point shot by David. wheh… what a shot!
The scores:
Air21 109 – Santos 25, David 18, Arboleda 15, Se 13, De Ocampo 13, Quinahan 7, Cruz 5, Kramer 4, Canaleta 4, Sta. Maria 4, Billones 4, Villanueva 0.
Alaska 107 – De Vance 25, Miller 20, Fonacier 16, Tenorio 13, Thoss 11, Ferriols 9, Hugnatan 7, Cariaso 4, Dela Cruz 2, Dela Pena 0, Borboran 0.
Quarterscores: 23-37, 53-53, 84-77, 109-107.
2nd game: Red Bull barako (104) vs (102) Talk n Text Tropang Texters
most of the viewers know that it was going to be a walk in the park by the Tropang Texters. this point of view increases when Coach Yeng Guiao was thrown out of the game for having his 2nd technical at 4:57 of the last quarter. but wait, that incident gave the Barako's the second wind. and what do know… they gave Talk n Text an upset to remember this October. the Barako's won by 2 points. Gabby Espinas and Cyrus Baguio delivered what it seemed to be their last game. a real Barako never gives up isnt it.
Talk ‘N Text 102 – Cardona 26, Dillinger 15, Carey 12, Alapag 11, Peek 11, Ritualo 10, Castro 9, Aljamal 6, Allado 2, Escobal 0, Lao 0, de Ocampo 0.
Quarters: 27-24, 60-49, 80-76, 104-102.

Yap, Miller, Baguio in Guiao's RP roster
James Yap, Willie Miller and Cyrus Baguio could well be among the new faces donning the RP colors in the FIBA-Asia men's championship next year.
Yap, Miller and Baguio, among the most exciting players in the PBA today, are said to be high on the list of players coach Yeng Guiao is considering for the national pool.
Sources said Asi Taulava, Mick Pennisi, Sonny Thoss, Ranidel de Ocampo, Arwind Santos, Kelly Williams, Kerby Raymundo, Gabe Norwood and Jayjay Helterbrand are also being eyed by Guiao for the list he's to present to PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios tomorrow.
Uncertain is the status of Mark Caguioa as he's in the United States nursing an injury.
Among borderline cases are Air21 rugged playmaker Wynne Arboleda and Sta. Lucia sophomore guard Ryan Reyes.
The league commissioner and the national coach are to officially announce the composition of the national pool once they get the commitment of each of the chosen players.
Guiao has said he's looking for players who could commit time and effort for this national endeavor.
Guiao and his team will compete in the 2009 Asian joust seeking to clinch one of three slots allotted for the region for the 2010 World Championship in Turkey.
Yap narrowly missed a slot in the Tokushima RP team last year, bumped off by Talk n Text rifleman Renren Ritualo.
The 2006 MVP winner, however, has said he would always be available if needed by the team.
Miller and Baguio have said the same.
Miller has long been aching to play for the national team as, for all his accomplishements, he has yet to don the national colors in a career dating back to his amateur days.
Left behind in 2002 (Busan Asian Games) and in 2007 (Tokushima FIBA Asia championship), Miller made the most of the opportunity at home, winning MVP honors in those years.
Baguio has become a contender for the RP team after his dramatic rise in the last two PBA seasons. He won the Most Improved Player honors and joined the Mythical Second Team last campaign. - Nelson Beltran (Philstar News Service, http://www.philstar.com)
MANILA, Philippines—Red Bull could be celebrating Christmas without the only star left in its vastly depleted lineup.
Cyrus Baguio is wildly rumored to be heading either to Talk ‘N Text or Air21 as the Christmas Day trading deadline in the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup draws near and the Barako already out of contention in the tournament.
Also likely to find himself a new team is reliable Red Bull guard Celino Cruz, who will be dealt to either of the two teams together with Baguio in a package deal.
If the deal pushes through, Red Bull’s depletion will reach a new high.
There have been persistent reports that Baguio and Cruz will be shipped elsewhere before the Thursday deadline.
According to reliable PBA sources, Talk ‘N Text and Air21—which, interestingly, will slug it out in a crucial game Thursday—are the two teams most interested in the Barako pair.
Baguio, who averaged a team-best 18 points per game—10th among top scorers in the KFC Philippine Cup—has been on the wish list of several teams, especially after his breakout season last year when he also led the Barako in scoring.
It is not clear, however, what the Barako will get in return for Baguio.
Red Bull had been involved in previous one-sided trades, including a trio of deals this season that unloaded Mick Pennisi, Rich Alvarez and Topex Robinson.
Another source said it looks like Red Bull is again ready to trade away its two remaining stars for a song.
In the not-so-distant past, the Barako gave up mainstays Enrico Villanueva, Lordy Tugade, Junthy Valenzuela, Kerby Raymundo and two-time MVP Willie Miller in deals that many speculated involved a good amount of cash.
The departure of Pennisi, Alvarez and Robinson last year made Baguio the only remaining big commodity in the once-mighty ballclub.
Cruz, who normed close to nine points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 13 games, is one of the league’s strongest guards at the clutch. He shot close to 40 percent from three-point range in the KFC Philippine Cup.
