Teatro Balagtas: “Balagtasin” Para Kay Jose Rizal

Teatro Balagtas is inviting everyone to watch a play called “Balagtasin” at Casa Nazareth Multi-Purpose Hall on June 18, 2011, Saturday at 7:30 P.M. Although the performance will be about Francisco Balagtas and his love Celia, the show will be a tribute to our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, who looked up to Balagtas when it came to writing.

Rizal also adored Ilog Beata, and featured it in his famous novels.

The performance is presented by Teatro Balagtas, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), and Samahang Sining at Kultura ng Pilipinas.

There will be no entrance fee for this show, but the producers are requesting everyone to come on time. Read more via RizalPark.org.

Pandaqueno wins 10K Race in Pandacan Fun Run

Justin Tabunda wins the 10K Race (Photo Credit: Loty Nayo)

A Pandacan resident - Justin R. Tabunda of Floresca Street – triumphed over 75 participants in the 10-kilometer (10K) race. He finished the race in 34 minutes and 34 seconds, making him the first Pandaqueno winner of the first Pandacan Fun Run.

Ngayon, OKTUBRE 18, 2009 ay sinisimulan natin ang pagbibilang ng 100 araw patungo sa Buling buling 2010. Ang Tema sa Taong Darating ay “MAGKAUGNAY- Indak sa Pandacan, para sa PAGBABAGO.” Opisyal na himig ng Buling Buling 2010 ay ang awiting likha ni Fr. Mimo Perez, na pinamagatang PAGBABAGO.
