Eat Bulaga in Pandacan Again

Baranggay 833 Zone 91 in Pandacan was the destination of Eat Bulaga’s “Juan For All, All for Juan portion”, Sugod Bahay sa Baranggay. The segment allows the place to select a person to represent their neighborhood. Thus, “Pambato ng Baranggay”. This particular baranggay, I must say, chose a very good candidate.

20-year old Anna Theresa Tan was picked to represent Baranggay 833. The talented nursing graduate plans to take Board Examinations on December 19. Hear her sing “Saving all my love” by Whitney Houston.

  • “Jumper Kids” Mastermind Arrested (Crime) – Alexander Arellano, 28, suspected mastermind of Jumper Kids, a group of minors stealing goods from the rear of the trucks on the highway, was caught in the act last June 13 at the corner of Jesus Street and Quirino Avenue.

Community Projects by PETRON

petronDespite the petition to relocate the oil depots in Pandacan, PETRON will launch series of community projects that will help communities of our town. I think it’s nice of PETRON to still do this after all the issues that do not favor them.

In a nutshell, the community programs include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Medical Missions
  • Hapag-asa Feeding Programs for school childen
  • Scholarships
  • Classroom repairs
  • Fire drills and safety awareness campaign
  • Implementation of Kontra-Kalat sa Baranggay – Solid-waste management program

The project will be implemented by the third (3rd) quarter of this year.

NCPC Advent Retreat

DSC04577.JPG (135 KB)In preparation for the coming of the Lord, The New Covenant Prayer Community had its annual two day Advent Retreat at OASIS OF PRAYER, Silang, Cavite.

The Retreat Master has explained the meaning of Advent and Christmas in three sessions through some biblical passages in which he later relate to our name “New Covenant Prayer Community.”

Each of the 56 members of the community who joined the said annual retreat had a fruitful spiritual exercise such as personal reflections and bi-sharing in the nature friendly retreat house. We also had our fellowship and bonding moments for better relationship with each other.
