Just a short and brief post to greet all Pandacan residents here and abroad a Merry Christmas! This time of the year is the perfect time to be thankful for what we’ve eceived through-out the year.

May you all have a happy and blessed holiday season with your family, friends, and loved ones despite all the misfortunes we all have experienced either personally or as a nation.

The most common question “Is October 31 a holiday in the Philippines?” has been answered: YES, it is a holiday throughout the country. Since the said date falls on a Monday, which is sandwiched by two non-working days – Sunday and Tuesday (Nov. 1, 2011 – All Saints Day), President Benigno Aquino III declared (Proclamation #265) it as a holiday as well, giving Filipinos ample time to spend with their families.

Since there’s no school/work that day, you might want to visit the art exhibition that opened last week at Manila City Hall, kicking off the week-long celebration of Manila’s 440th Anniversary.
