NBA Finals 2010: Lakers vs Celtics

Game 2 is set Sunday 8PM (Monday 8AM Manila Time). Can the Celtics rebound (pun intended) from their game 1 loss or will the Lakers continue to win in a dominating fashion?

The first game of NBA Finals 2010 is about to begin in a few minutes. Which team are you rooting for? Los Angeles Lakers or Boston Celtics? Will the Lakers avenge their 2008 defeat to the Celtics?     Game 3.  After Ray Allen’s record-breaking performance last game, he went cold this game — isang malaking kalabasa!
     
    Major, major props to D-Fish, Kobe and the Lakers!
     
    D-Fish for providing the spark, Kobe for providing leadership despite poor shooting game, and the Lakers for the superb defense.
     
    Hope the Lakers can wrap this series up in Game 5. Two more to go, champion na naman ang Lakers!  :devil:

    Celtics

    • very disappointing si R. Allen from his new record
    • KG has a good game (sya lang yata swerte)
    • Celts bench had not contribute as expected like before

    Lakers

    • Bryany may have some off in his shooting but still proves to be a leader when needed
    • Fisher came up with no surprise at all, he always do this when in need of a hero
    • Laker’s D is the factor in winning this game 3 (in my opinion)

    Celtics:

    • Big Babby (Davis) drools but gives a big (bench) points
    • KryptoNate showed some emotions and good contributions
    • Coach Doc trust his players and the players do what the coach expect

    Lakers:

    • Has poor bench against the Celts
    • Can’t defend Davis in the 2nd half
    • Kobe needs more help from his team

    Game 6 is set tonight (Tuesday, 9pm New York Time), Wednesday morning (9AM) naman dyan sa Pandacan (Manila, Philippines time).

     

    I expect a hard-fought game and of course a Lakers win. Kobe can’t do it alone, his teammates have to show up and man up against the Celtics’ aggressive play.

    The keys to Lakers victory:

    • get the rebound – prevent the Celtics 2nd chance points IN THE PAINT
    • hustle – one word: RONDO. The Lakers need to stop him from outrebounding the bigs and getting the loose ball. Parang may magnet sa bola itong si Rondo.
    • DEFENSE – Check Ray Allen. It doesn’t matter if he’s 0-11 from the field. Send a body to him until the clock reads 0.0 seconds. Artest has to do a better job also on Paul Pierce. Laging nakakalusot itong bakulaw na to.
    • Homecourt – Players (especially the bench) MUST step up at Staples Center. Hello Pau and Lamar Odom! Wake up and stop wearing those skirts. There’s no more excuse, and the whole team should be more comfortable playing in front of their home crowd.  Who knows, maybe the Lakers can make the refs give the elusive “T” to Sheed Wallace and Perkins. (That would mean suspension to both the next game).
    Tonight’s the night, and the Lakers should treat this game like it is game 7.
