this maybe long due as answer to mr cenon... unless you can speak on behalf of the real feelings of the people participating in the procession and that is if you are very sure of that feeling... then you're right. It is an outright idolatry.

But if you are judging only through what you see in the expression of the people then what I am sure is that God has the sole authority to judge a human, and by that authority only He can tell if the people are sinning idolatry. What I know is that every feast of the black nazarene, all sects and I mean including born again and protestants, I know cause I know people from other religion who participates in commemorating this event.
If this event unifies the scattered Christian faith... tell me now affirm if this is FAITH OR IDOLATRY.

This is an outright idolatry, blasphemy to God, a violation of the 2nd Commandment of God from His 10 Commandments written in Exodus 20 of any Bible versions, including that of the Catholic and the Latin Vulgate.

God forgive you.

Some Insider's Facts...

Did you know that the Quiapo Fiesta Took the Organizers 8 long Months to Plan...

But it turned out that the event needs more months in planning and simulations ... back to the drawing board.

Have you heard the news of the Nuestro Padre being held hostage by the faithful?
It was true after-all after the processions' route was modified courtesy of the devotees.
But that rumor was long been uncovered by the organizers... in fact the Image had to be put inside a large Van which is by the way being tracked by the "Poon"-nappers but in order to lose them, the had to use 2 of this vans and go around the Metro.

And had to be placed in a safe area of a high ranking Roman Catholic prelate ... he he he... that I canno't divulge.

Therefore the image was actually out of quiapo 3 days before Jan 9. Ang galing noh parang NBI ang lansingan.

On Jan 8, while the people was scrabbling of when the original image at quiapo will be transferred to luneta, the image was already at luneta, in-fact, Nuestro Padre is being clothed already with His new gala-robes.

At around 4:45pm, before the healing mass starts, Nuestro Padre was taken out of the van amidst a rousing applause among the devotees while singing Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.

Grabe ang preparation ng quiapo... but it seems kulang pa rin. My hands and hat goes up to the organizers of the traslastion II...The Quiapo Fiesta 2009.

Congratulations... but more ideas and plans pa...
